As I mentioned in my post I have been researching on the Internet. That includes the archives on the FHL and FML, as well as everything I could find under Yahoo and Google, including excellent articles by Dr. Williams, Dr. Brown and Dr. Erdman in the Ferret Central FAQ. I wouldn't dream of posting without doing my homework first!
There are plenty of personal opinions out there from folks who know what they are talking about and plenty from folks who don't. We all know that just because it is on the Internet it doesn't make it true. Plus the personal opinions, which vary widely, only paint a picture based on people who post to these lists.
Maybe I should have been clearer. What I am looking for are hard numbers for the specific areas I asked for. I am looking for actual percentages and time lines for each of the specific areas I requested. A vet who has been doing this for several years would be the preferred source. It doesn't have to be a study or exact, just please just get me in the ballpark so I have a better idea of what my little guy faces.
