Benadryl will work as an antihistamine.

I have a ferret with chronic sinusitis. This was determined after several
nasal flushes, x-rays, a culture (that showed nothing), and several rounds
of antibiotics. Both my vet, and a well-known ferret specialist we were
consulting with, recommended decongestant nose drops called Little Noses.
Little Noses is for infants and children. The active ingredient is
Phenlylephrine Hydrochloride 0.125%. The dosage I was told to use was one
drop per nostril when needed. I have found it easiest to draw some up into
a syringe and dose from that. It's a little easier to get the drop where it
needs to be. I scruff Sammy and tilt his head back a tad bit to get the
drop to go into his nostril. He cooperates so it must not be unpleasant.

I haven't quite mastered getting Sammy to snort it in. LOL But, it does
seem to help him. He gets absolutely miserable at times. This has been
going on since July.
