Hello, I just joined the group and am at a loss with the health of my ferre=
t Loci, he is 2 1/2 years old. Usually Loci is full of energy climbing his=
cage to get out to play. Lately he is curled up in a ball barely awake wh=
en he hears me come in. When I let him out, he tries to run, but is interr=
upted by itching. He is constantly itching. He is still eating and drinki=
ng and pooping just fine. It seems that his only relief from scratching is=
to sleep. I love that he cuddles with me, but it breaks my heart to see h=
im unable to romp around and play. It also breaks my heart to see my other=
ferret, Ashton, lonely for his playmate. I have checked for fleas, no sig=
n, there is no rash of any kind either, and he's not losing his hair. I ha=
ve noticed that his nose and gums aren't as full of color as Ashton's are. =
I have changed the litter and bathed him. Ashton scratches once in awhile=
, but not nearly as badly as Loci. Has anyone seen anything like this? Do=
you have any suggestions? I couldn't get into the vet until next Wednesda=
y.
I will look forward to a reply. Thanks!
