I rescued ferrets who were locked up in 2 ft cages all their lives and never
let out to play. When I first let them out, they didn't know what to do.
But within 2 weeks, they became more curious and wandered around and started
playing. So your little boy will learn how to play. And he should also put
on weight within 2-4 weeks. I rescued ferrets who were starved and were
very thin and it's amazing how quickly they put on weight when you give them
proper food. You could boil and grind/ puree some chicken and give it to
him, I feed raw chicken but I know not all people like the idea so boil it
if you feel happier. But the ground chicken really helps putting on weight
and you can add some egg, fish oil and some vitamins to it if you like.
