Hi everyone.

I brought a kit home about 2 months ago that was abandoned in a park, and b=
rought to an animal shelter. She's approximately 5 months and is in good s=
hape, excellent appetite, amazing activity level, good stools, etc. Howeve=
r the first night I brought her home, she started coughing. Sounded really=
congested in her chest. I thought she had aspirated on some olive oil I h=
ad put down for her, so she was started on Baytril for about a week. Well,=
this cough hasn't gone away and my other 3 girls aren't coughing so I gues=
s bacterial or viral infection isn't the problem. As I was leaving for wor=
k this morning, she had another fit. This one was quite bad with heavy con=
gestion and the episode lasted about a minute (that's long for me!) I have=
an appt with my vet tomorrow for a follow up blood panel for one of the ot=
her girls. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what might be causing th=
is cough? All the girls get regular doses of Vaseline as a hairball/blocka=
ge preventative and she seems too young for cardio - though I know that doe=
sn't guarantee anything. I'm at a loss and would appreciate any suggestion=
s anyone has to offer as I'll probably bring her to the vet as well.

Thanks in advance,
Charlie and Suzanne
