There is yet another litter that I have recently discovered that is
excellent. It is called Hunt Club and comes in a 3 cu. foot bag (about the
size of 3 - 40 lb. bags of hardwood pellets) runs about $5.39 per bag, is
non-allergenic, dustless, environmentally sound and VERY soft to the touch.
It is composed of choped up corrugated "kraft".......I thought it might have
sharp paper edges, but is very, very soft. One bag lasts a long time and
doesn't leave the sawdust in the cages that inadvertently always get tracked
out of the litterbox. It was made originally for horse stables where
newborn foals and horses that had problems were held, as a very soft
bedding. It is also very lightweight and when you all are lugging all those
cages into and out of motels on the way to ferret shows, it sure makes a
difference in weight. They have a website and you can write and get a
sample of it. It is usually found in Tractor Supply stores and stores that
have horse products.
