Happy Holidays everyone,
My ferret Loci, who I have written about several times, has been diagnosed with an extremly low red blood cell count. The vet says it has been an ongoing, slow process or he wouldn't be with us today, it's so low!
Loci is not regenerating RBCs. He isn't even 2 yet. An adrenal test is in the works, but hasn't come back and he shows no other symptoms of adrenal.
I have been prescribed prednesone. Will this help him regenerate the RBCs? Will it increase his energy? How can I feed it to him (liquid form)without him shaking it all over the place.
I appreciate any advice you can give me.
