Once upon a time our vet used the Ft. Dodge distemper
vaccine for dogs in a reduced dosage when he had some
serious reactions to Fervac-D and nothing else was
available. He hasn't used it in a while and says
there is no testing done to know for sure if it really
works in ferrets.
My thought would be that puppy vaccine is better than
nothing but that if there is any way you can safely
import something like Merial Purevax you'd be better
off.
If ferret ownership in Israel is growing perhaps this
is a business opportunity :)
