I'm not a vet but it seems to me that just palpating something doesn't give much of a diagnosis as to what it could be. The adrenals sit right above the kidneys. Could they be enlarged? Tumor doesn't necessarily equal cancer. Tumors can be benign too.

I believe more details as to what it is will need to be known before you can plan a course of treatment.
