I'd thought about the pedialyte but wasn't sure if it was appropriate. Makes sense, though. I used to give it to my babies (human kids) when they were sick.

The syringe we have is measured in CCs. How many CCs per feeding should I give Boo-Boo? I've noticed that since I've been feeding him more food less often (every 4 hours) that he's a lot more eager to eat. But I don't want to underfeed him, nor do I want to overfeed him and cause him more discomfort.

Thanks, Katharine. All this advice I'm getting from everyone sure does make me feel better about things. I feel more in control now, whereas before I felt so dang lost and confused. I'm still a little lost, but I guess that will change in time since all this ulcer stuff is new to me.

Try to feed 3-4 (4 is best if you can manage it) times a day, 30-40ml each feeding. On average, a ferret needs about 100-120ml daily to sustain its weight.

If you will give the carafate and stick to the diet religiously, you should quickly see improvement.

Oh, and be sure to give other meds well before or after giving the carafate so there won't be an absorption problem.
