Nexus has had the flu since Monday when I took him to the vet. He has head congestion--watery eyes and coughs a lot. It's not the cough like a human. Like trying to clear his throat. He is on Cefa Drops. His temp has been normal since he had fever the first day. Vet checked his lungs and they were clear and put him on the antibiotics to prevent infection. He is currently treating another ferret who has responded. I'm bringing him back in on friday for a re-check. Is there anything he can have for the cough? I think it stresses him out. He has a fit and runs around the room. He is eating his soup well every 4-5 hours. I have a humidifier in his room. Just wondering if others have gone through this and how long it takes to show improvement. He got the flu from me. I was careful, always washing my hands and not handling him much but he still got it. Thanks.
