Your Vwery Welcome and hope things even out. Just a note, ferrets are
carnivores much like cats (but usus even require higher protein levels), and
there is now an insulin back on the market just for animals called PZI. It
is found to be far more effective in managing some and might be a good
option for your ferret. It is best to only have to give insulin twice daily
but some need it more often. If you consider removal with local do it while
it is still small since it would be easier. Yes if that second adrenal is
acting up then it will be the cause of her dysregulation (ferrets are hard
enough to regulate and it doesn't help). If surgery is not an option (and
sounds like it is not) find a way to control the hormone levels and Lupron
would be a good bet. Diet, keep the carbs down and it should help (this is
helpful for both insulinoma and diabetes). Best of luck to you and let me
know how it all turns out. (if you would rather then you can email me
directily).

Dr. Sue
