I found this on the searchable ferret vet list. Maybe she can help? I have a 3 year old boy with adrenal. The hair loss is a definite sign something is wrong. I don't know if it's adrenal or not, but I would have it checked. The skin issue is something I have never heard of.

This is the link for the site for the list. There are a few doctors in Fl.

Also, another site you may not know of, lots of posts and info.

Best of luck and good wishes,

I have taken him to a vet who gave me a conditioned shampoo & thought it was a bacterial infection. The medication didn't work. It is still there. I am really concerned about the hair loss. I think he is too young to have adrenal but I don't know what else it could be. I have just recently moved to West Palm Beach FL and have not found a "ferret knowledgable" vet yet. If anyone knows of someone, or has any suggestions as to how to help my fuzzy, please let me know.
