Hi Ulrike,
The reasons I recommend gas (Sevo or Iso) are simple.
The amount of gas can be adjusted quickly for safety.
Recovery is much quicker, which lowers the chance for
hypothermia and other bad things. Injectable anesthesia
can be done safely, especially in young, healthy ferrets
for short procedures like spay or neuter, but there is more
of a risk of a prolong recovery, hypothermia, etc.
As you can see, gas is safer!
