Hi Niki,
My two ferrets who have had a lot of white markings around
their faces have also shown these changing patterns. Pan
for example now has a tiny little badger stripe that he
certainly didn't have in the summer, and his mask has
changed shape a bit. They do seem to change seasonally and
also as they grow older the patterns change. My champagne
ferret lost his mask entirely by the time he was about 6 :)
