Joni,

Lymphoma has so many different presentations that it's hard to
describe "stages" without knowing exactly how it's presenting in
Callie. If some of her abdominal nodes have become inflamed, though,
they can press into other organs and could restrict her bowels and
limit her movement. Or she may simply be in a stage where she
experiences primary pain. The "tired eyes" certainly isn't a good
thing to report.

You'll find that the vets on this list don't recommend Pau d'Arco any
more. Never having used it myself, I'll decline to comment.

You might want to ask your vet to increase the prednisolone dosage.
If Callie's nodes are becoming inflamed again, increasing the pred
dose can help shrink them again. That bad news is, if this is
happening, it most likely means the lymphoma is becoming resistant to
the pred, so it won't be effective much longer. (This always happens
over time anyway. Pred is only useful against lymphoma for a brief
time, and only helps with the symptoms. It's never curative.)

Good luck with Callie. Lymphoma isn't fun.
