Hi everyone. Here is an update on Kodo. This past Monday, I took him to t=
he vet and she removed his stitches. I asked her about putting him on Pred=
nisolone and we decided it would be best. So now I am giving him a dropper=
full 2 x a day. I'm not sure how much a dropper full is though. At first=
, I thought it was helping him. I let him out of his normal play area Tues=
day afternoon and he romped around, wrestled with his sister and even made =
the happy "dooking" sound. I was so glad because I haven't heard him do th=
at in a long time. However, as the week went by, he got bad again. I woul=
d let him out and he would just go somewhere else and lay down. He might w=
alk (slowly) around for about a minute or so and then he would just flatten=
out. He would just stare off into space. By yesterday, I was so worried =
about him that I put some Gerber's Chicken into a syringe and slowly feed i=
t to him. This was at 12:30 in the afternoon. I got off of work at 3 to t=
ake him to the vet. On the way over there, he just layed in the carrier and=
didn't move (seriously not one bit). She checked his glucose levels at abo=
ut 3:30. She said that it was 76. She also said that if he hadn't eaten l=
ately, that that number wasn't that bad. But if he had, then it was low. =
I'm not sure that him eating at 12:30 would have an effect on it or if 3 ho=
urs would be considered fasting. So she gave him another steroid shot (she=
didn't tell me what it was) and said that this one might last longer. She=
said that she thinks the Pred isn't lasting long enough. This morning whe=
n I let him out, he ate a whole bunch. More than I've seen him eat lately.=
So I let them out to run around the house. He walked around for a bit. =
But he still isn't playful and he seems to have no energy. It's the same w=
ay this afternoon. Also he won't eat out of his regular food bin anymore (=
unless he is at night and during the day when I'm at work). But that would=
be the only time he would be able to do it and me not notice. I eats when=
I feed it to him or if I put it on the floor and he takes it under the bed=
. But if i try to put him at his food bin, he'll smell it and walk away. =
He is still drinking a lot of water. His bathroom habits seem normal thoug=
h. I'm not sure what else to do. I feel helpless. No matter what we try,=
it seems like it isn't working. I really could use some advice or encoura=
gement right now. I'm at my wits end and it is taking a toll on me since I=
do nothing but worry about him.

Thanks, Haley and Kodo
