ok, so i tried putting dry food in the cage again today, and much to my surprise, kakarot dug right in. when i cleaned the cage out today, i found some interesting things in the stool. i don't know which ferret the stool was from, however, there were some pieces with hair in them. fairly large clumps. i posted picutres of all that i found, and collected the "specimens" to take to the vet on monday when kakarot goes in for his yearly vacinations. there is a picture of the stool with the hair clump in it and two of large deposits of mucus. what could the mucus be indicitave of? i am guessing that Dr Sue was correct in guessing that kakarot was not eating dry food due to a partial hair blockage in the intestines/stomach. is mucus a normal part of a blockage coming out?
