I pretty much agree with most of this. I would not worry as much about
Aleutians at this point it is more likely other things. You need to
stabilize first, you can always test for Aleutians later they still need the
supportive care either way.
I have treated ferrets with furballs obstructions that are partial and these
ferrets had lost half their body weight by the time of diagnosis. If
nothing else find a vet that will teach you how to give fluids yourself at
home it will cost less.
I think you at least need an x ray (however keep in mind that due to loss of
body fat some things may not be as apparent. The one thing not mentioned is
Cardiac disease thsi too can cause wasting of this degree.
You can do a lot of supportive care but will need some additional
diagnostics and you should be able to find them for less. Best of luck to
