I think it is time for exploratory surgery before he is too week. I think
that hairbal blockages are often missed by routine x rays and palpation
because they can appear as or feel like food. I also think that if he has
insulinoma that many of the tumors can be removed or debulked to proivide a
more easily managed case. With exploratory surgery you can do a far better
evaluation. It sounds silly but in some cases just opening them up improves
their condition, in school we would call them therapeutic exploratory
surgeries. I would hat for you to lose him if there is something you can't
see from the outside but could find and fix surgically, after all how would
you feel and you would kick yourself for not doing it. Yes it has a certain
amount of risk but it sounds like doing nothing is just as risky if not more
so. best of Luck to you.
