Hi,

I have a male ferret who came to me as a "Thought a ferret would be a cool pet but too much work" sort of home. They bought 2 and only lasted with this young couple 4 or 5 months. Anyway, he has a fluid cist on the side of his penis. The vet who is not very ferret-wise said MAYBE it was just the male gland that is not removed during neutering that keeps filling up with fluid. She didn't know for sure but maybe. He is otherwise a healthy ferret, very large and slow but loving and not suffering in any way. I have been draining it every once in awhile, and my question is.....Is this cureable or should I leave him be if it is not really affecting him in any big way?
