y, you should feed your ferret about 5-10 minutes before you give hime his =
Pred. This helps protect the stomach from ulcers by coating it. I was not=
told this by my vet and now, I believe Kodo has an ulcer. I'm having to t=
ake him to a specialist Monday because my vet doesn't know what else to do.=
You should definitely take your ferret back to the vet, and tell him or h=
er what EXACTLY he is doing. It usually means the ferret is in pain. It c=
ould be an ulcer or it could also be an obstruction. Watch his stool close=
ly. If it is black and tarry, then it probably has blood in it from the ul=
cer. Or if it is green and mucousy, it might be an obstruction. You need =
to have these possibilities checked out soon. I've had to watch Kodo be in=
pain all this time, and there is nothing I can do about it until we find o=
ut what is wrong. It is very hard to do this, so please go talk to your ve=
t about these possibilities! =
