Subject: Kodo's ALKP is 347 U/L???
Message-ID: <26980954.1075873278473.JavaMail.nobody@strontium.smartgroups.com>
I have Kodo's test results and I read about the common misdiagnoses of hepatic
enzymes. We dropped Kodo off at the vet's office at 7:30 in the morning. The vet
did not get in until 9:30, and I'm not sure when she did the tests. I'm also not sure
if Kodo was feed any of his food although I did leave some for him. I read that the
ALKP could be as high as 100 mg/dl, but Kodo's is 347 U/L. I'm not sure what that
equals to, but she said that it was very high. However, he was not hypoglycemic
because his glucose was 143 mg/dl. She also said that she saw traces of bilirubin in
his urine. She did not get an ALT and I'm not sure why. His BUN was 23.4 mg/dl,
CREA was 0.52 mg/dl, and TP was 6.23 g/dl. She said that she did a dilutin of 1:1
and it was invalid, then she did one of 1:3 and she wrote on the paper, "invalid
>2100 U/L. I'm not sure what this is either. Kodo is still chomping really badly,
and it looks so painful for him to eat. Please, let me know what all of this may
mean
Thanks, Haley and Kodo
