Hi everyone. I actually have several questions that I need help with. I am
taking Buster to the vet next week for a check up and shots. I am planning on
an exam, fecal float, rabies, and distemper. Are there any other things
ya'll would suggest? I will Be taking S'mores for his visit in a few weeks too,
so I really need any addition info I need. This is the first time I am taking
a ferret to a vet! This Doc does specialize in ferrets.
Next, I am putting together an emergency kit for my babies as it says to do
in Ferrets for Dummies. I have several questions so here goes.....Is human
Bausch and Lomb Eye irrigating solution safe for the fuzzies or do I need to get
Marshall? Where do I get Bene-Bac and what is it? What is Feretone and
Linatone? What do they do and where do I get it? For Hairball prevention it
mentions Petromalt. I use Marshall Ferret Lax, should I get the Petromalt instead?
Where can I get bees wax? I would rather use that than styptic powder on a
cut quick because that stings so bad! Does the bees wax work just as well?
Where do I get chemical heating pads and ice packs? The pharmacy? I am having
a hard time finding Betadine solution where can I get it? OK guys that is
about it! Oh, I use FerretVite High Calorie Supplement and I also use
FerretVite Vita-Sol Liquid vitamin supplement, do these take the place of Ferretone or
Linatone? Also what is Nutri-cal and where do I get it and how do I use it?
One more and I am done. I just read that a blood glucose tester can come in
handy and I have one. Do you use the same one that you use on people?
Thanks in advance for all of the answers I know ya'll will give.
