Although I certainly agree with not getting the vaccines done on the same day
(I prefer to separate them by at least two weeks), I am a bit surprised by
the second part of this. Money spent having a fecal sample checked for
parasites is not wasted. Although it is not common to find intestinal parasites in
house kept ferrets, it does happen. I have seen ferrets with intestinal
roundworms, coccidia, giardia to name a few. I do highly recommend having a stool
sample checked yearly.
