Hi, everyone,

I have (only verbally so far) received the pathology on Ker Avon. I'll post the actual report when I get it as I have done with Pertwee in case it's useful.

The report on Avon starts by saying that he had "an amazing collection of lesions". He did have lymphosarcoma. That's what settled in his spinal column and caused paralysis. In addition his spleen had been almost completely replaced by a large cluster of mast cell tumors. He also had advanced liver disease.

Based on what our vet saw in his lungs he feels there is no way Avon would have survived the night. All we did by putting him down was spare him the final agony. As much as we hated to let Avon go I now am certain we made the only decision we could make.

All the best,
Caity and the super seven
