Hi, Buffy, and everyone else,

If you have a good, experienced ferret vet Fester has a very good chance of coming through this fine. Our Podo had insulinoma surgery and right adrenal surgery three months apart, both at age seven and a half. Doing both at once may actually be less stressful for Fester if that's what your vet finds. Podo is a happy, amazingly healthy nine year old today.

Adrenal disease and insulinoma are the two most common serious ailments our ferrets face. A good, experienced vet can do the surgery for both with an excellent chance of a full recovery.

All the best,
Caity and the super seven
