Hi Natasha,
I think Jayhawk Pharmacy has stopped selling Lupron
for ferret use. Professinal Arts Pharmacy in MD is the
only pharmacy that I know of that is selling Lupron depot
for ferret use. They sell 1mg of the 4 month version for
~$100. That is 250mcg per month for 4 months. Their
number is 1-800-832-9285. They may also sell you the once
a month version of Lupron. With her bone marrow problem,
you will want a high dose (200-500 mcg per month).
You can also use Arimidex (0.1mg once a day), and/or
melatonin (1mg once a day) with the Lupron. Once the
estrogen level has been decreased, you can also use
Epogen to help stimulate the bone marrow and Pet tinic
to add extra iron (and vitamins and minerals) for red blood
cell production.
Hope that helps,
Jerry Murray, DVM
