I want to second the recommendation for Bob Church's Chicken Gravy. Our vet believes in it as well, and it really has helped most all the sick or compromised ferrets we have. I use Pam Sessoms' pressure cooker method to make it and it really isn't hard or all that time consuming. I make a big batch and put it in small containers in the freezer and thaw as needed.

Podo and Kodo, my two nine years olds with insulinoma, lick their little bowls absolutely clean and think it's the greatest treat in the world. Even though they know meds they hate come first they are eagerly waiting at meds/gravy time.

Info is at http://www.trifl.org/gravy.html

All the best,
