While at the vet's today we asked her if she could do blodwork without
anesthesia. She said no because she now gets blood from the vena cava instead of the
jugular. We use two vets. This one is 5 minutes from us, the other 45. The
Dr. at the farther distance has always gotten blood without anesthesia. He takes
them back, gets the blood, we go home. The vet we saw today always has us
leave our kids for the day when she does bloodwork. We'd like opinions on the
vena cava procedure vs the jugular.
