Hi Jen,
The vast majority of ferrets make it thru ECE,
so do not give up. Please read Mike's ECE info
at his website and also Dr Williams ECE info
(www.afip.org/ferrets). Supportive care: SQ fluids,
and feeding him (Hill's a/d or Gerber's baby food)
will get most thru ECE! I also use an antibiotic to
prevent secondary bacterial infections (such as
Amoxicillin, or Clavamox drops, or Amforol, or
Cefa drops, or if they are in bad shape Baytril).
