HI wiolfy-

It is not scientific-- rather a common sense supposition on my part BUT-

It the living creature is living with a compromised condition ( endocrin
system shirtchanged form neuter/ spay) without hormonal supplimentation..
AND if the adrenal glands - which are overworked are removed first one-
then it is only common sense w/o hormonal inervention and system
supplimentation to the endocrine system
that the demise of integrity to the other will follow.

in comparison-
How many spark plugs can you remove on the care and still get a smooth ride?

Here at the shelter it is always a matter of time for the second gland to
go -- we hit 100% if they do not pass from renal failure or heart conditions!
