Subject: adrenal recurrence

Regarding adrenal recurrence, I have a somewhat different question but
definitely adrenal related. How common is it when both adrenals are removed for the
ferret to again be showing fur loss symptoms of adrenal and has become a bit
more aggressive. My boy had both adrenals removed in April, 2003, is on pred
daily and percorten shots every 3 weeks. Since his adrenal surgery, his coat
has never been very good, can see pink skin thru his fur. His fur is now
becoming even more sparse, with more pink skin being visible, in addition to
having a small patch of fur missing at the base of his tail going up his back.
What would be the be the best course of action next in line for this boy? He's
about 3-1/2 but I dread putting him thru surgery again. I've also started him
on 1mg of melatonin daily. Any other suggestions other than the lupron shots?

Thanks for any suggestions/help.
