Oscar is young so his heart is probably okay, but have that checked thoroughly before using Timmy's Tonic if that compound still contains licorice root/true licorice. That herb can be hard on hearts. Also don't use it if he throws thromboses as some ferret with lymphoma/lymphosarcoma do. Definitely clear it with your treating vet first as you do with all your meds. Some alternative meds have a long history and you'll read vets themselves (not a third party) recommending them, some have a short history and you'll read vets themselves saying "We're trying this" but not "We recommend" because they are seeing what happens based on soemthing looking safe, some others have a long history but you won't find vets mentioning them. Notice which grouping each med fits into.
