Our standard approach with lymphoma/lymphosarcoma is to use high levels of Pred. Ferrets aren't really prone to having problems with side-effects from Pred, except now or then ulcers. We've had ferrets who have gotten al long as 14 months with this approach. We've also used pain meds as needed.

If we had one get it in the prime of life (3 years old give or take a year) we'd be especially tempted to try chemo, even knowing that chemo has a low success rate, but would have to weigh the pros and cons since both exist. (BTW, I seem to recall that a new chemo protocol was going to be one of the things discussed at the latest AFA vet conference.)
