I think the bathing is probably too frequent and is
drying out their skin. We've found that most odor
doesn't come from the ferrets but rather from things
like bedding and cloth toys and paper (i.e.: paper
bags and cardboard boxed where they wrestle, hide,
and ferret away things) We wash or change these
frequently. Our bedding. made up of old towels, gets
changed every couple of days. Litter gets scooped
twice daily. Litter pans get washed and deodorized
regularly. We air out the house as often as weather
permits.

The other thing you can do is use a deodorant or
cologne made for ferrets between baths.

We don't like stink either, but we found that by
taking these steps we can go about six weeks between
baths, sometimes a little longer, and that's in a
household where two of the weasels were never
descented and occasionally poof.

All the best,
Caity and the super seven
