Hi,
My baby Maxine was diagnosed with an abcess from another ferret bite (Romeo-
hahha now that I think about it) about 1month ago.
Rather than get into all the details.........
Let me just say she has been through the ringer.....prescribed baby asprin for her
over 105 temp by the "exotic specialist" and supposedly developed an ulser due to
that and some sort of of stomach fungus due to the specialist telling me to keep her
on Baytril...as well as clavomox.
since- about a month ago.........she has been wasting away
Although I take her everyday for fluid injections ....and have been feeding her every
2 hours......
I am truley at my wits end.......... she has a high temp 105 plus......and is losing
weight everyday.
The abcess lump is gone- she was hospitalized for two days(ab.....and wants to
eat.........
But the high temp and the continued weight loss has me and my vet stumped...out a
week 1/2 ago)......
And she is trying so hard to stay with me.......eating out of a syringe and doing her
best.
If anyone has any ideas....... or expeiences that may shed some light we would
truley appricate it
The ulser seems to be under control and she wants so bad to stay with me (I know
this) Any ideas?????????Why the high temp....and continued weight loss???????
