Subject: Jaundice & liver cancer......Now what?

Is there a vet that can tell me what to expect now that Elvira, my 4 year
old, has developed jaundice? She was diagnosed with liver cancer a few weeks ago
by ultrasound. She seems to get tired easier now, but her appetite is still
good. She gets all the Gerber chicken baby food she will eat at this point.
It's also how I slip her the prednisone and Amoxicillin. My vet said that she
would just slowly waste away. I don't want her to be in unnecessary pain,
and this is the first ferret with this diagnosis that I have had. At what point
do I do the humane thing?
