I was just looking at your sequence of past posts. This has been going on for a month with the most recent blood tests last week, right?

If so, I really would have expected the white count to be sky high by the time that last blood test was done. The past cases had the counts going up before this.

If that white count remains low and there isn't anemia it could be sepsis of a different cause, or perhaps something else.

Was the "lump" a lymph node?

Where was the lump?

Was there a wound at the site?

Is there sepsis?

Is there anemia?

How profuse is the nasal discharge? Is there any crusting?

Has the ferret had any head injury recently?

Does the treating vet think the breathing may be related to pain? That can happen. If so, have prescription pain meds been tried? (Do NOT try over the counter pain meds since some are fatal for ferrets.) If it isn't relieved with pain meds what about scoping the sinuses?
