While this may not be adrenal, don't think that two years is too young because it's not. WHile it's more likely in older ferrets, ferrets less than a year have had adrenal disease. My own Penny had her left and most of her right adrenal out at 2 years of age.
All of my ferrets that developed adrenal disease had hair loss on the tail, but my first ferret had a bald tail for almost the last three years of his life and never developed any other symptoms of adrenal disease. So it may be a prelminary sign of adrenal problems and it may not.

Tried it but I couldn't get mine to eat it. It's like super dehydrated beef jerky, minus all the junk and I imagine it would be really good for them if they'll eat it. I still have my bag sitting here. I wasn't aware there were two types.
