Nyssa had a severe anaphylactic reaction to her rabies
shot when she was two years old. Since then she has
been pretreated with a dexamethasone injection on each
of the three days prior to vaccination and injections
of both dexamethasone and benadryl about 20-30 minutes
before being vaccinated. In the three subsequent
years she has had her rabies shot and not had any
reaction other than being a bit sleepy afterwards.
I don't have the dosages but if anyone wants them I
can probably call and get them.
