Subject: Adrenal Surgery in Knoxville, TN
Message-ID: <1730941.1078437904441.JavaMail.root@thallium.smartgroups.com>

Good afternoon everyone,

I am beginning to suspect my Mischief is in the early stages of adrenal, her tail hair-loss has suddenly progressed up on to her hind end a bit. I have not observed a swollen vulva, but my 3 boys do like to follow her around with their noses under her tail an awful lot! She is around 4 1/2.

I am taking Mischy in to UT next week for them to check her over & maybe do the UT panel if necessary. But, I called this afternoon and found that they run $800-$1000 for an adrenal surgery. A thousand dollar surgery is simply going to put an extreme pinch on my budget. I am wondering if anyone knows of a good adrenal surgery vet within a reasonable distance of Knoxville who may be closer to the $500 range. My "regular" vet is not an option, he refers all ferret clients to UT for anything "complicated".

Thanks,

Melissa Bell
