I just took my one remaining ferret, Zipper, to a well-known ferret vet today and he said sevo was much better because if there was a problem and the gas mask was removed, the anesthetized ferret would start to come around within seconds whereas with iso, it would take up to three minutes. I don't know the details, I just took his word for it. I do know this vet is a very skilled surgeon.
