Depends on the severity of the prior reaction. Benedryl is great for mild
reactions but I like to combine them for ferrets due to the severity of most
of them. Just my preference, every vet has their own way of thinking. I
don't think there is enough suppression to make the vaccine totally
ineffective it is still useful. We need often tailer the immune response to
get the best benefit without the bad reactions.
