I always ask the lab for a second opinion to be sure. If it is osteosarcoma
based on where it is I don't see you getting it all surgically anyway. Also
Osteosarc is highly metastatic so finding a way to keep her happy and
comfortable is the best choice. If it is not osteosarc you might have a
slightly beter chance but it is still difficult based on its location.
Aside from radiation options are limitied and I don't think radiation is
such a good plan either. I would try to approach it holistically. We have
used essiac tea for all sorts of cancer, we also use shark cartilage and
omega fatty acids as supplements. I hope someone has other suggestions, but
I would ask your vet to see if the lab will give you a second opinion and
find out if there is someone who particularly does ferrets. This is
important whenever your diagnosis is something unusual or more rare. This
is also nice since you don't have to send in another sample they can cut new
sections from what they have. If they do certainly let us know the outcome.
Best to you.

Dr. Sue
