Over a month ago, I had to start feeding Kodo, my 4 y/o male, baby food to =
help heal his ulcer. After three weeks, i was able to start cutting back o=
n his Sulcrafate and start adding his kibble into the baby food. I am now =
only feeding him his kibble. However, I have to crush it up, heat it, and =
make sure it isn't too thick because Kodo won't eat it if it is. I have to=
come home during lunch to feed him. My problem is, he won't eat his food =
unless I do these things to it. I kept him in my room last night to see if=
he was eating during the night. He didn't eat not once. He got up to dri=
nk some water, and he went over to his food to smell it, but never ate once=
. I have to come home to feed him because of his insulinoma. If he would =
eat by himself, I wouldn't have to worry about it as much. I'm a student a=
nd I have to clock into school after lunch. Since I have to come home, I a=
m late all of the time now. It is causing a big problem for me, because af=
ter so many "tardies", I get suspended from school. I am very frustrated a=
t this point. I can't just say, "if he gets hungry enough, he'll eat", bec=
ause I'm afraid his glucose will get too low and he'll go into shock. Is t=
here anything I can do to get him to eat on his own again? Please help!
Thanks, Haley and Kodo

He goes in tues for surgery for insulinomia. I am scared to death since last
week my friends little one went in for almost the same thing and was too sick
and went to the bridge. I have only had Fester since Dec 4 and hope that if
he choises to cross that I have given him the best 3 months that he has had.
Tonight I held him in my arms for almost an hour while he slept.
After surgery I know he needs to be kept calm and seperate from the young
ones but do i need to put him on any special diet?? or will he be on reg kibble??
