Thank you so much for the tip. I will request a splint if there is a next time and
share your advice. I let her out of the cage this morning. It was the first time since
Friday. Wow! Talk about a hyper ferret! She was running and attacking everything
that moved. So Far she seems to be walking better on it. It is still sore or at least it
looks to be. She is limping, just not as bad as before. She is using the leg and foot
at least.

I have used spints on ferrets, they may not stay on as long but can help.
You need to stabilize it long enough so it does not pop out again. I also
use a reverse stirrup to secure. See how he does but if it happens again I
would try a splint.
