Hi, My 6 yr old male ferret "Bruno" recently had a urinary blockage. He was catheterized and then had an ultrasound done. He has an enlarged right adrenal gland and also an enlarged prostate. He is not a good surgical candidate due to very bad anemia. I've decided to try a few medications. First, I have already given him a dose of lupron 100mcg. I also beleive that propecia/proscar will help and maybe even melatonin. I was wondering what dosage I should start him on for both of those medications. He's doing pretty good right now, but I want to do everything possible to help prevent another blockage. Also Bruno's Dr. beleives that melatonin will only help with hair regrowth and not with the actual problem (adrenal/prostate). Can anyone give some advice for my little boy?
