Hi I have a 3 1/2 year old Marshalls ferret. He was hospitalized not long
ago for what the vet felt was a virus. He was very ill, they put him on IV
fluids (which they told me he chewed completely through the line when they were at
lunch) with nothing else. To make a long story short I was very
dissappointed in this vet who I felt was literally starving and depriving my baby of food
and water. See when I would go and see him I would bring warm blended food
and he would eat small amounts the vet did not have the extra people to feed him
small portions more frequently. They gave me a hard time about wanting to
come in to feed him. I took him from the hospital not knowing if I could keep
him alive but felt he was telling me I am dying here. He began licking his
urine something he never did. I wonder could it have something to do with not
having a water supply at the vet he was thirsty there and had nothing but pee
for fluid? Thank God for some wonderful ferret knowledgeable people here I had
a wonderful person help me through this ordeal and Snowball is once again
playing and loving life. Any thoughts Chrissy and the gang
