She has had a definite increase in alertness and activity compared to the way she used to be. She has to be on this drug for about 10 months. One of the side effects of the drug is loss of appetite, and little by little this is happening. I feed her the chicken gravy each night with her medication, and she is really resisting the food. I'm having to scruff her, and assist her. We've started giving chicken gravy in the AM also. She is down 3 oz already, and has almost 9 more months to go. I talked with my vet and it was recommend to do only 1/2 of her medication a day (which currently is 1 mg-I believe)
